Assistant Director Lisa Irby,
Office of Mission Sustainment

Lisa Irby is a federal law enforcement special agent with over 20 years of experience with the U.S. Secret Service. She serves as the Assistant Director of the Office of Mission Sustainment, where she oversees the Office of the Chief Information Officer, the Office of Security, and all recruiting and hiring for the agency. Herein, she leverages her operational expertise to ensure the integration of critical support functions into operational strategies in support of the agency’s mission readiness posture.
Prior to this position, Ms. Irby served as the Deputy Assistant Director in the Office of Protective Operations, where she led the planning, organization, and implementation of security for all National Special Security Events as well as ensuring the highest level of security possible for Presidential Campaign events and visiting foreign heads of state/heads of government.
Throughout her career, Ms. Irby has led the development of security plans for high profile domestic and international Presidential visits, conducted complex criminal investigations, worked on high-level policies impacting the DHS enterprise, and created new protective methodologies. She held these responsibilities while serving in various leadership roles including Special Agent in Charge of the Dignitary Protective Division, Deputy Special Agent in Charge of the Dallas Field Office, Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Special Operations Division, and as a supervisor in the Presidential Protective Division.
Ms. Irby is a graduate of the College of Naval Command and Staff (2016), earned a Master of Education from the University of Georgia, Athens, GA (2000), and earned a Bachelor of Science in Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology from Tulane University, New Orleans, LA (1995).
