(Buffalo, NY) – The United States Secret Service Buffalo Electronic Crimes Task Force recently
hosted a Cyber and Operational Resilience Tabletop Exercise. The training was facilitated by
Secret Service cyber investigations subject matter experts who led the discussion-based exercise.
The topics addressed included best practices for cyber incident notification, identification,
mitigation and recovery.

“The Secret Service believes that building trusted partnerships between all levels of law
enforcement, the private sector and academia is a proven model for facing the challenges of
securing cyberspace,” said Special Agent in Charge Lew Robinson, U.S. Secret Service Buffalo
Field Office. “It is through our collaborative approach with established partnerships that the
Secret Service is able to help expand the collective understanding of breaches and continue to
augment our advanced detection and prevention efforts.”

The exercise was hosted at the corporate headquarters of Delaware North and was attended by
members of the private sector to include financial and health care organizations. Partnering law
enforcement agencies in attendance included FBI, HSI, IRS-Criminal Investigations, New York
State Attorney General’s Office and the Erie County District Attorney’s Office.
