(Washington, D.C.) – Chief Kevin S. Simpson, United States Secret Service Uniformed
Division is announcing his retirement after 28 years of public service. The retirement is
effective May 31st.
“For nearly three decades, Kevin Simpson was a dedicated professional who served
with honor and integrity. His void will be felt by the men and women of the Secret
Service with whom he served with unwavering commitment,” Secret Service Director
Randolph D. “Tex” Alles.
Chief Simpson began his Secret Service career in 1988 as an officer assigned to the
White House Branch. In 1992, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant at the White
House. He rose through the ranks and was sworn in as the Chief of the Uniformed
Division on December 5, 2010.
Throughout his career, Chief Simpson received numerous performance awards and
commendations. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and is a member of
the International Associations of Chiefs of Police and the National Organization of
Black Law Enforcement Executives.
