MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of
Oklahoma, announced that, MARQUE DESHARD THOMAS, age 41, of Austell, Georgia, was sentenced
to 33 months imprisonment for POSSESSION OF A COUNTERFEIT OBLIGATION OF THE UNITED
STATES, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 472 and 2.
The Indictment alleged that on or about February 28, 2016, in the Eastern District of Oklahoma,
the defendant, did with intent to defraud, possess counterfeit obligations and securities of the United States,
which he knew to be falsely made, forged and counterfeited.
The charge arose from an investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and the United States
Secret Service.
The Honorable Judge Ronald A. White, District Judge in the United States District Court for the
Eastern District of Oklahoma, in Muskogee, presided over the hearing. The defendant will remain in the
custody pending transportation to the designated federal facility at which, the nonparoleable sentence will be
served.
