WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In cooperation with our law enforcement counterparts, the United States Secret Service has made adjustments to the security perimeter at the White
House complex. Beginning at midnight, Tuesday, March 18, the following areas have been closed to pedestrian traffic: Pennsylvania Avenue and E Streets between 15th and
17th Streets; the 17th Street sidewalk adjacent to the Eisenhower Executive Office Building between E Street and Pennsylvania Avenue; and the 15th Street sidewalk
adjacent to the U.S. Department of the Treasury between E Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
As we have in the past, the Secret Service will continue to evaluate and review the security measures around the White House complex. Every attempt will be made to notify the public of any adjustments that may impact pedestrian or vehicular traffic in that area.
Security related questions should be referred to the United States Secret Service Office of Government and Public Affairs at 202-406-5708.
