Childcare Services for Federal Agencies

The United States Secret Service (Secret Service) has established a Child Care Subsidy Program (CCSP) in accordance with current federal statues and regulations to subsidize the cost of child care for eligible Secret Service families. The Secret Service provides a maximum monthly subsidy, $416.50 per month/$4,988 per year to eligible employees with a total family income of no more than $250,000, which is paid directly to the employee’s licensed or regulated child care provider. Eligibility is determined by using the adjusted gross income from the previous year’s tax documents. Children enrolled in child care services must be under age 13 or under age 18 if physically or mentally incapable of caring for themselves (as determined by a licensed physician or certified psychologist).

Your Employee Assistance Program provides Employees and their eligible family members with up to 6 free face-to-face counseling sessions per year, per issue. Counselors can help parents with common parenting challenges and can provide referrals to parenting support groups.

Common parenting challenges include:

  • Childhood trauma
  • Helping children cope with divorce
  • Parenting stepchildren
  • Dealing with difficult children
  • Parenting teens
  • Teen substance use
